Halifax Consulting was established in Belgrade in 2001 by international and local experts, with the aim of contributing actively to development of the Balkan region in general, and Serbia in particular.

The company’s essential concept is one of bridging differences: between domestic and foreign, between public and private, between economy and ecology. We believe that the right combination of local and international knowledge and skills is the key to the best results.

With this starting point, Halifax approaches each project by identifying the best local knowledge; researching the background; analysing key issues; finding creative ways to achieve the objectives; obtaining opinions on international experts that have worked in the country before so as to select and combine the best possible team.

This approach has been honed over 12 years of project work. We believe it enables us to work with our partners to produce excellent project designs that can actually be implemented, since they take account of the structures, people and customs that can often block development projects that are less carefully prepared.
